“For the beauty we’re thinking of like, East LA gang girls…” quips makeup artist James Kaliardos while backstage at the Rodarte Spring 2010 show, “and exploring a whole tougher, darker side of a girl of beauty.” It’s this raw energy that gives Rodarte it’s flavor. Distressed materials are crafted together in unexpected combination’s, resulting in a mysterious and modern appeal. I love Rodarte because the pieces are artistic while remaining wearable.
