You might know of Kelly Wearstler from Bravo’s reality show Top Design (where she is one of the judges) but Ms. Wearstler established her design firm over a decade ago. She has published 4 books, one of which was an LA Times best seller, has been featured as one of House Beautiful’s best designers for 7 consecutive years, and designed interiors of restaurants, hotels, retail spaces, and residential homes all over the world.

I have always wondered what a designers own residence looks like, where they have full reign and limitless opportunity for creativity. Here is a glimpse of the interior of her own yacht, the Kordura in Marina Del Rey.

Ms. Wearstler has managed to make this space feel like any you might find on land, with all the comforts of an upscale apartment… we are only reminded of the space’s mobility by touches of seafaring symbols throughout the motif.
